The firm purchased a Nuvera 288 Perfecting Production System and a Nuvera 144 MX Digital Production System at a combined cost of £250,000 to complement existing Xerox kit including two iGen3 presses.
Barry Crich, managing director of Adare, said that the spend was "part of an investment package spread over a 12 month period". "It is part of a refresh [including] digital printing and enclosing equipment and software technology," he added.
The investment will enable Adare to continue to meet its customers' requirements for fast turnaround of short run jobs including bills, statements, letters, pay slips and welcome packs.
"This [investment] is all about the number of short-run applications that we do on a daily basis, which - from a speed, efficiency and run length perspective - are far better served by a cutsheet application than by reels that you've obviously got to then sheet down and fold etc," said Crich.
"My view is Xerox cutsheet is the best cutsheet kit on the market and that's why we've always had a close business relationship with them."
Mike Holyoake, general manager, Graphic Communications Operations at Xerox UK, added: "As firm's in this market face increasingly stringent SLAs, Adare is taking strategic steps to meet these demands and stay ahead of the curve."
