Karl Smith set up Technique in 1997 after working in print for 15 years, from apprentice through to sales. His business partner Mark Foster was then a customer as a freelance graphic designer and the duo saw an opportunity to start a business that provided both high quality graphic design and print.

Where are you based?

We started in a very rural converted barn in the middle of nowhere in Warwickshire, but we are now right on Junction 11 of the M40 in Banbury – perfect to get anywhere!

What does your firm do?

The printing side is mostly colour brochures, catalogues, leaflets, direct mail, packaging and large-format jobs, but we also do web and graphic design work

What’s your typical customer?

The marketing departments of end-users that want to employ all of our services. Our clients include galleries, museums, publishers, and manufacturers

Which geographic markets do you serve?

Primarily Oxfordshire, Buckingham-shire, Warwickshire, Northampton-shire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire, Birmingham and London, but we
do have clients in Cornwall and Scotland
