Syncoms W2P pioneer to present at EFI Connect

Syncoms Group vice-president of print and technology Ali Ridha Jaffar will present three Business Builder sessions at the EFI Connect 2019 conference in January.

Jaffar said his sessions at the annual event, taking place over 22-25 January at the Wynn Las Vegas, will give attendees useful and practical information on how to differentiate their business and win customers with an e-commerce offering.

London headquartered Global marketing services provider Syncoms specialises in design, print, marketing and tailored e-commerce offerings and serves clients including Google and Box.

Jaffar pioneered the web-to-print initiative at Syncoms, transforming its commercial print division from a traditional printing company to a specialist tech firm that delivers web-to-print implementations to clients ranging from government institutions to global blue-chip companies.

Now in its 20th year, EFI's four-day global users conference Connect features educational breakout sessions, networking opportunities and keynotes from industry experts as well as in-depth, informative training and education on key printing and packaging management and technology challenges.

“I truly believe EFI Connect is a mandatory conference for anyone interested in cutting edge MIS, web-to-print and marketing automation. Plus, attendees have the opportunity to meet hundreds of people with the same concerns and requirements as them,” said Jaffar, whose experience in e-commerce spans more than 15 years and covers a range of areas of expertise, from web design overhauls to marketing automation consulting.

His sessions at the event are titled ‘Techniques for Selling Your Web2Print Offering’, ‘Effective Implementation Strategies for Web2Print Solutions’ and ‘How to Recruit and Train to Build a Successful Technology Business’.

“As well as the three sessions that I will be speaking at, we’ll be participating in workshops, roundtables and one-on-one discussions and Syncoms will also have a presence on the main floor,” said Jaffar.

“We will essentially be able to demonstrate what we’ve achieved with web-to-print. It’s everywhere in our industry, everyone is talking about it and everyone wants it, but not many companies can actually pull it off, and that’s where we come in.

“It’s very different to selling traditional print – you’re selling technology and there are a lot of pitfalls so I’ll essentially be going through how I’ve done it with the likes of Box, Google, Royal Voluntary Service and the various clients that we deal with, and really talk people through that process.”

Syncoms also provides advanced customisation and integration services for EFI's Digital StoreFront software.

“They refer clients to us who may require assistance with web-to-print in a range of areas, but predominantly customisation and deployment,” said Jaffar.

“So we can make a demo site, customise it, make it look pretty and then enable or empower them to sell that to their end customer.”
