Sihl launches soap-activated window film

A window film that can be applied with soapy water has been launched by Sihl Direct UK.

ClearSol WetCling 125, is a polyester film, which has a special coating on the printed side that when wetted activates the glue to allow it to be stuck to high gloss surfaces including glass, aluminium and dibond.

By adhering using the printed side, images are protected from damage by the substrate when in-situ. It is also claimed that removal is easy, leaving no residue.

"This product is very simple but very effective, it’s also suitable for use with latex inks, so is a good all round product," claimed Sihl Direct UK operations director Ian Turnbull.

In addition to latex inks the coating is also compatible with solvent inks.
