Rosefox Paper says FSC and PEFC certification is 'vital'

Rosefox Paper has become FSC and PEFC certified in a move that the paper merchant described as a "must" for those in the trade working with larger companies and councils.

David Dawson, sales representative at Rosefox, said merchants have a responsibility to demonstrate that they source paper through responsible supply chains.

He said: "It is vital that we meet the demands of our customers. As more and more printers apply for accreditation, it is imperative that we have FSC and PEFC stock available and can therefore carry forward any accreditation claims."

He added that the move was about not just about using the certifications in order to gain new work, but about maintaining the business the company already has.

"FSC and PEFC is very much becoming a prerequisite for any responsible paper supplier," he explained.

The Preston-based, £7m-turnover business has 31 staff and is part of the Aims Group of paper merchants.
