Roberts returns to Wyndeham Roche as managing director

Jon Roberts has been appointed Wyndeham Roche managing director, three years after leaving the company as general manager.

He rejoins the Cornwall-based web offset printer on 12 March, taking over from Brian Harris, who is relocating to the north of England.

Roberts left the print business in 2009 to join airline supply chain firm Supplair, prior to Wyndeham's acquisition of St Ives Web division, which includes Roche, last April.

Returning to 258-staff Roche, Roberts said the he was "particularly attracted" by its approach to the challenges ahead.

"I'm looking forward to supporting the Roche team to ensure we maximise the huge potential that is embedded in this well-invested factory," he added.

Wyndeham Group chief executive Paul Utting said he was "delighted" about the appointment.

"He’s a high-calibre individual with proven operational and manufacturing management skills that will, undoubtedly, enhance Roche's position as one of the leading web offset printing facilities in the UK," he said.
