PrintWeekLive! opens its doors

The UK print industry has descended on the Wasps Arena, Coventry, as the inaugural PrintWeekLive! exhibition opens for business.

The industry’s leading manufacturers, suppliers and service providers, many showing new products for the first time, have filled the venue, offering visitors a chance to get to grips with some of the most innovative technologies and applications available today.

“PrintWeekLive! is the only place in the UK that visitors will be able to see all of these exhibitors together in 2017,” said Ed Tranter, managing director of event organiser, MA Exhibitions.

“It’s a fantastic tribute to the power of print, its possibilities and its opportunities. It really is the must-attend event in 2017.”

As well as a show floor packed with the latest equipment and applications, PrintWeekLive! is co-located with a keynote conference, at which attendees can hear from a raft of inspirational speakers from inside and outside of the printing industry.

The first day’s conference programme kicked off with a presentation by Vistaprint founder and Cimpress chief executive, Robert Keane, who set the scene by discussing the future of print and mass customisation.

As well as a simultaneous keynote conference, the event also features four workshop theatres located on the show floor, providing visitors with practical advice to benefit their businesses.

Among a number of show features on the main exhibition floor, one of the highlights is the ‘Ask the Expert’ stand, where visitors can book one-to-one meetings with experts from the BPIF and the IPIA for free advice on a wide-range of topics; from HR and legal advice, the Apprenticeship Levy and training, and sales and colour management.

In addition, a number of the conference speakers offered mentoring advice on business growth, M&A, print procurement and data security on stand J1.

“PrintWeekLive! is a show that has been designed by the industry, for the industry – so if you’re a printer, buyer or supplier there’s no better place to see the latest technologies, network, and fill your head full of ideas to help take your business forward,” said Tranter.
