Nipson launches latest mono digital press

Nipson Technology has launched its latest continuous-feed monochrome digital press at Hunkeler Innovationdays.

The French manufacturer said the MagySpeed 300 can print resolutions of 600dpi at speeds of up to 300m/min. The 520mm-wide tension-fed web printer is targeted at the secure labels and packaging markets. It can run standalone or installed into an offset/flexo line.

Printing on paper of all types from 40-300gsm, the machine's patented cold flash fusing technology enables the deposit of black toner on offset pre-printed colour production without deterioration.

Additional software options and control cameras are available for the machine to increase document management.

Speaking at Hunkeler Innovationdays, Lefteris Havouzis, managing director of Lino, which distributes the machinery to the Greek market, said the machine can lower operational costs in the printing of secure variable data.

“The reaction to the machine at the show has been quite positive, both from existing customers and new leads,” he added.

The machine is commercially available with immediate effect and is supplied in the UK by Ashford, Kent-based Nipson Technology UK.

Two other models are also available in the MagySpeed range – the MagySpeed 150, which can print resolutions of 600dpi at speeds of up to 150m/min, and an earlier MagySpeed 300 model, which can print resolutions of 300dpi at up to 300m/min.

Hunkeler Innovationdays is taking place in Lucerne, Switzerland until tomorrow (28 February).
