NEC teams with Missing Horse to offer colour management courses

NEC Display Solutions has teamed with UK colour constultant Paul Sherfield, managing director of the Missing Horse Consultancy, to offer a series of colour management courses for users of SpectraView displays.

The course is aimed at graphic arts professionals, including photographers, designers, pre-press and printing companies who use SpectraView displays to view and edit pages and images for colour.

All aspects of colour mangement, from colour theory and display calibration best practice to colour management policies and PDFs, will be covered on the half-day course.

Sherfield said: "From a printer's perspective it's a colour management primer; it will answer a lot of questions and give them some more things to think about.

"If you're printing on lots of different papers using lots of different processes then you need to get more deeply into it but it will be a very good starter for not a lot of money that smaller companies wouldn't normally have access to."

There will be a maximum of six places on each course, the first of which will take place at NEC's west London office on 26 January 2012, and a charge of £50 (excluding VAT) will be payable by each delegate.

Anyone interested in reserving a place on one of the courses should contact Anne Boreham at NEC on 020 8752 3777.
