Mitsubishi HiTec Paper launches metallic iridescent inkjet photo papers

Speciality paper manufacturer Mitsubishi HiTec Paper has launched two metallic iridescent inkjet photo papers, jetscript IG 2577 and jetscript IL 2576.

Both grades are microporous resin-coated inkjet photo papers, with jetscript IG 2577 having a high-gloss surface while jetscript IL 2576 has a pearlescent finish.

The German company said the grades have a special ink absorption layer, which means that even high amounts of ink dry rapidly.

Prints are water and smear resistant after drying, and can be used for large-format printing. They are printable with all common dye and pigmented water-based inkjet inks including Epson's UltraChrome inks.

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper, which is part of the Mitsubishi Group, has sites in Bielefeld and Flensburg in Germany and is a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Paper Mills of Japan.
