John Good to reap the benefits of theatre season with saddlestitcher buy

Specialist printer for the arts John Good is set to capitalise on demand for theatre programmes and memorabilia from this year's pantomime season, following an investment in Muller Martini's latest saddlestitcher.

The Coventry-based company has invested in a new Primera C130 saddlestitcher after seeing it run at Drupa, where it was launched.

Muller Martini will be installing the machine this autumn so John Good can handle one of its busiest times of year – when pantomime paraphernalia is in high demand.

According to John Good, the machine is fantastic for quick changeover work, which well suits the company's average print run of just 2,000 (although 150,000 product runs are not unheard of).

Bindery manager Kevin Gardener said he was particularly pleased with the angled design of the Primera's feeders: "The new feeders will take heavier stock and can handle more input at one time thanks to the angled design.

"I also like the way we can now make more adjustments on the fly and nice touches like the inspection lights."

John Good is a specific printer for theatres and arts organisations throughout the UK. It prints more than 4m programmes every year.

The company offers a complete service for its customers and sells advertising space in the programmes, and designs and prints leaflets, flyers, and posters. It also offers a web design and e-marketing service.
