Inca Digital launches Onset R40LT 'affordable mid-range' flatbed

Inca Digital has launched the Inca Onset R40LT wide-format UV printer in a move the manufacturer said will bring Onset technology to companies looking to invest in a standard mid-range digital machine.

According to Inca Digital, the R40LT will make full-width array flatbed printing more affordable for those that don’t require a printer to produce 10,000sqm per day.

The R40LT model can start as a manual 3.14x1.6m full-width array flatbed printer in a choice of four, five or six colours. It is capable of 265sqm/hr print speeds on substrates up to 50mm thick, equivalent to 40 full-beds sheets/hr.

The machine, which has the ability to develop from a four-colour, 265sqm/hr device up to an eight-colour fully specified device, includes 14pl Fujifilm Dimatix Spectra printheads, a 15-zone vacuum table, a UV sensor system and mechanical substrate height detectors.

Inca Digital director of marketing and product management Heather Kendle said: “By investing in the new Onset R40LT, companies can now join the Onset family with the confidence that the printer can keep pace with their business growth or changing production requirements and save them money in the long run.

“Many firms buying a standard mid-range printer will, as their business grows, have to consider replacing it or buying a second machine. But with the Onset R40LT you can increase your throughput and/or quality at considerably less cost and inconvenience.”

Pricing will start from £475,000 for the entry-level model. The machine, which is available immediately from Inca’s exclusive global distribution partner Fujifilm, will be on show at Fespa in Cologne from 18-22 May.
