Impika to show iPrint Compact at Hunkeler Innovationdays

French digital print specialist Impika will be showing its iPrint Compact single engine duplex digital colour printer feeding two finishing lines, one for book block and one for newspaper production, at the Hunkeler Innovationdays next week.

International editions of newspapers will be produced in the mornings, while book blocks will be produced in the afternoons.

The aim of the demonstration is to highlight the latest applications for high-speed continuous feed printing as it grows beyond its core transactional and promotional markets into publishing.

It will also aim to show how it is possible to improve the ROI on a print engine by using it in combination with different inline finishing systems to tackle multiple markets maximising production capacity while minimising staff overheads.

Book block production will be on the Hunkeler CS6-II cross-cutting module with an LS6 stacker.

Newspaper production will be via a CS7-I cross cutting unit and DC7 collator with inline folding.
