Get out of the office. It’s show time!

Decisions, decisions. We’re well into industry’s peak season, when printrooms across the land are (hopefully) at their busiest.

But there’s also the small matter of not one, but two UK print expos taking place this month.

The Print Show at Telford’s International Centre this week and then at the end of the month Ipex, which returns to the NEC in Birmingham after a seven-year hiatus.

So, with so much going on what’s a time-poor print boss to do?

You’re on your own, I’m afraid.

If you have the time, then I’m sure both events will offer something that will make a visit well worthwhile – but if you have to choose one then it boils down to the potential ROI on your valuable time, something only you can calculate.

So examine the exhibitor list, survey the seminar schedules and if all else fails, toss a coin – because generally speaking going to any trade show is probably better than going to none.

Making the effort to drag your nose off the grindstone to check out a show is always a great opportunity to create some headspace to work ‘on’ your business, something that is damn near impossible when you’re busy working ‘in’ it day-to-day.

So, regardless of your time pressures, rest easy that time away from the office is well spent.

And don’t forget, if, when the time comes over the next few weeks, despite your best laid plans the day job gets the better of you – don’t panic, PrintWeekLive! is just a mere five short months away. And, with no hint of bias, ahem, I can confidently say that will be one event that you really won’t want to miss.
