Fujifilm Europe appoints new senior VP and forms new graphics business

Fujifilm Europe has appointed Yasufumi Morimoto as senior vice president, who will take charge of the manufacturer's graphic systems division across the continent.

Morimoto, who succeeds Ryuta Masui in the role, is now based in Düsseldorf and takes the position following 28 years with the company.

Commenting on his appointment, Morimoto said he was "very much looking forward to the new role and the opportunities that come with it.

His appointment coincides with the formation of a new Fujifilm business in Japan, the Fujifilm Global Graphic Systems Company (FFGS), which started trading today (1 October).

According to the manufacturer, FFGS brings together three businesses, Fujifilm Graphic Systems, Fujifilm Simple Products and Fujifilm Corporation's Graphic Systems Business Division.

Fujifilm said the integration of the three separate businesses will strengthen its ability to market Graphic Systems products worldwide. FFGS also unifies sales, marketing and technical support of Fujifilm Graphic System's products.

Morimoto, who also takes on a board member role at the new company, said he was "excited to be part of the new FFGS company right from the outset".
