Evolution Print targets 20% growth following Heidelberg spend

Sheffield-based Evolution Print has targeted a 20% growth in 2011 after investing in a five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75.

The commercial printer has replaced two B2 Komori machines with the new press, which comes specified with coater, Inpress Control and Autoplate XL plate changing.

Graham Congreve, partner at Evolution Print, said the German press manufacturer had "stolen a march on the competition".

He said: "It’s a press that will give our customers the quality they demand and us the usability and colour consistency that is vital for the high standard of print we produce.

"It’s a very, very productive machine and, more importantly, flexible press which has the fastest makereadies and running speeds we have seen."

Evolution, which has clients in the retail, education, financial and government sectors, will initially operate the Speedmaster on a double-day basis and on 24 hours when required.

According to the business, it is confident of maintaining year-on-year growth and to boost sales by 20% by 2012.

"We are taking on a fresh and optimistic outlook with this new press. We need to make changes so that we are in control and not just subject to market conditions and pricing," added Congreve.
