Bookings open for Power of Print seminar

Two Sides has opened bookings for this year’s Power of Print seminar, which will involve 11 leading industry experts including a major figure in retail.

“Given the recent media scrutiny about plastic packaging and pollution, paper and cardboard are very topical,” said UK country manager Jonathan Tame, adding it was too early to name the speakers.

“Retailers are looking at innovation and sustainability in packaging, and print and packaging have a major role to play going forward. This is a big challenge but also an opportunity for our sector.”

The Power of Print seminar will take place on Tuesday 6 November 2018, with around 200 delegates expected to debate issues and ideas and share knowledge.

The seminar is an annual event, held for the past eight years, at Stationers Hall, St Paul’s in London and organised by Two Sides in partnership with the BPIF.

Tame added: “We won't be talking so much about Brexit or commercial matters; this is more about innovation and how print can adopt and work with digital technology.”

A speaker from a leading charity will review the impact of GDPR on communications and print’s future role in the mix while other speakers will overview UK print today, GDPR, and forecasts for 2019.

The seminar runs from 10am to 5.30pm with an evening dinner in the Stationers Hall with an after-dinner speech by Simon Fox, chief executive of Reach, formerly Trinity Mirror.
