Xaar CFO heads to Essentra

Xaar CFO Lily Liu has quit her role at the manufacturer after just a year in the job to join components and packaging group Essentra.

Liu’s new role takes effect from 15 November, when she will take over from Stefan Schellinger who is leaving after five years at the business.

Xaar said it would search for a replacement over the intervening period, but also has in place a potential interim solution if required. Shomit Kenkare, previously a vice president of finance and divisional CFO at Kodak’s Enterprise Inkjet business, is set to join the firm on 1 June to head up its corporate development function and can step in to replace Liu on an interim basis.

Essentra CEO Paul Forman described Liu as “a good match” for the £1bn turnover group. “She brings a proven track record of international experience in our sectors which, together with her strong people focus, are a good match for us as we continue to restore Essentra to sustainable, profitable growth.  I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Stefan for his immense contribution and commitment to the Company, and to wish him every success in the future."
