Warren expands paper portfolio after paper sales double

Independent cartonboard and graphical board stockist Warren has significantly expanded its paper products range to meet increased demand.

The firm, which moved into paper distribution for the first time in 2014, said its paper sales are already more than double that of last year and it has therefore expanded its range to provide a wider choice for its paper and board customers.

New products, which are available with immediate effect, include Stellar Gloss, Stellar Silk, Trophee and Inspira.

Stellar Gloss and Stellar Silk are multi-purpose woodfree coated papers that both carry PEFC Chain of Custody certification. The Stellar range is an AIMS Group (the UK’s largest independent merchant consortium) brand.

Warren said both products are known for their high bulk, stiffness and smoothness qualities, which make them suitable for multicolour printing applications.

The company is also stocking the Trophee range of coloured papers in greater depth than before, with the AIMS Group being the premier UK stockist.

Trophee, which is suitable for conventional offset, letterpress and silkscreen printing, is available in 41 colours and in weights from 80gsm to 270gsm. The range is also fully FSC certified.

Warren has also significantly increased its stock range of the Inspira Pre-Print grade.

Inspira, a brand exclusive to the AIMS Group in the UK, is an uncoated, woodfree paper and board that has been designed to provide strong printability and runnability in colour printing.

Its features include quick ink drying time as well as high brightness and smoothness. Inspira, which also carries the PEFC Chain of Custody certification, is available in a range of weights from 90gsm to 350gsm.

Warren managing director Kieran Ferguson said: “The increased stock levels that are now held in our warehouses, combined with the improvements we have made and will continue to make in our logistics solutions, mean we are able to offer next day delivery for short and large run print jobs and everything in between.”

ISO 14001-certified company Warren has 43 staff and sales in excess of 30,000 tonnes per annum with a turnover of £25m.

It runs from a 3,902sqm converting facility in West Bromwich and five units in Glenfield, Leicestershire covering a total area of 10,684sqm. Its customers include paper merchants, commercial and general printers and carton convertors throughout the UK and Europe.
