For the last twelve years Ferguson has been Warren Board Sales’ commercial director, in charge of the day-to-day running of the company alongside its chairman, Barry Pincott. His former role will no longer exist.

Chairman Barry Pincott said: "This decision was a unanimous one with our board of directors and his drive and ambition are exactly what the company is looking for now. We all wish him every success for the future."

Kieran said he was "delighted" by what he called a "demonstration of faith" from the board of directors.

"I look forward to taking up the challenge of this role. Firm plans are already in place to advance the company in these challenging times and we will announce further details over the coming weeks and months."

Ferguson has worked with the 30-staff, Leicester-based company for 27 years in both internal and external sales. He is also chairman of the boards division of NAPM (National Association of Paper Merchants).

Warren Board Sales operates from its 100,000 square foot premises in Glenfield, Leicestershire.
