Three more mega print tenders are currently open via the government’s Find a Tender service but will close in the coming days.

The largest of the trio, with a value of £3m, is from Wirral Borough Council, which requires the delivery of print services for elections and electoral registration to council establishments in the Liverpool City Region (LCR) and associate authorities.

The council stated: “The framework will include 10 local authorities who require bespoke printing services for canvass forms and all elements of election printing, including but not limited to, postal packs, ballot papers and poll cards.”

The closing date for this tender is 12pm on Thursday (24 February), and the start date of the contract will be 1 July 2022.

Staffordshire County Council (SCC) meanwhile, is looking to appoint one supplier to deliver a print management service for all print requirements within Staffordshire.

This may include web print, digital print, litho print, wide-format, and promotional items.

SCC said: “The supplier should be capable of supplying a wide range of mono and colour printed material including, but not limited to, the following types: brochures; booklets; business cards; posters; postcards; flyers; hybrid mail; surveys; letterheads; banners; secure and confidential printing.

“The supplier will handle all print requests received from SCC. Any print work that is unable to be printed by the supplier, then a comprehensive print management service is to be offered.

“The supplier will be able to source all forms of printed materials and other more specialised items from a network of print partners. However, the supplier will remain accountable to SCC for any underperformance of print partners.”

There is a two-stage open tender process for this tender, which is worth £1m and closes at 12pm next Monday (28 February). The start date will be 1 August 2022 and it will end two years later, on 31 July 2024. There is also the option to extend by two years to 31 July 2026.

Stafford Borough Council, Cannock Chase District Council and South Staffordshire Council are also listed in this notice. They are not responsible for this procedure, but are named organisations who may call off from the framework.

Also closing on Monday 28 February at 12pm, University of Plymouth is looking to procure a framework for a wide range of print services across seven different lots that total £750,000 in value.

The lots are for: undergraduate and postgraduate prospectuses; litho and digital standard print; long-run bespoke litho printing; black and white print; NCR and basic short-run colour; signage and window decals; pull-up banners, flags, posters, and adhesive signage; and light box banners and exhibition equipment.

The university said tenders may be submitted for all lots, which all start on 1 June 2022 and end three years later on 31 May 2025.
