Given the sensitivity of his work, Jonathan cannot show off the fruits of his new-found knowledge, but that’s the only downside. He can and does shout about the buzz around De La Rue, the enjoyment of tackling new tasks in the print room, the challenge of working towards his NVQ Level 3 with the BPIF, and the desire to “never stop learning and developing”.

Leaving college Stephen had no career ideas, but soon found his vocation. Last January he started a print finishing apprenticeship - “the best move I even made” - and now not only has the ability to run every machine but also trains others, “making me feel positive about my future in print”.
