A trio of election print jobs worth more than £800,000 each are currently up for grabs via the government’s Find a Tender service.

With a value between £1.7m and £1.8m, the largest of the trio is from East Riding of Yorkshire Council, which has opened a framework is for the supply and delivery of electoral materials.

It said this framework is available to all local authorities within the Yorkshire and Humber Region and will run from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2026.

The framework is split into two lots; Election Printing and Registration Printing.

The organisation said an initial call of will be made upon the award of the framework for a two year period running from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2024, with an option to extend for a further two years until 31 March 2026. The closing date for this tender is 12pm on 23 December 2021.

Bristol City Council, meanwhile, is looking to appoint a provider for the provision of election print services including a full range of election print activities and election registration activities.

“The print services include absent vote refresh, postal vote packs, ballot papers, household notification letters, poll cards, HEF Canvass & ITR and HEF production during the year,” the council stated.

Worth £1.5m, the closing date for this tender is 12pm on 6 December 2021. The contract will then start on 1 February 2022 and end on 28 February 2026.

Finally, Dorset Council requires printing services to meet its needs in respect of its delivery of all elections, the Annual Electoral Registration Canvass, and ongoing electoral registration work.

The council said it intends to establish an agreement for a period of up to four years – two years plus a further optional two years – for election and electoral registration printing materials including ballot papers and Corresponding Numbers Lists, postal vote ballot packs, poll cards, and large print ballot papers among various others.

The council said the contractor is also required to arrange the provision of an automated response management service in respect of the annual canvass.

The closing date for this tender, which is worth £805,000, is 12pm on 4 January 2022. The contract will start on 1 March 2022 and end on 29 February 2024.
