Tell Design & Print has installed an HP Latex 115 printer and cutter to extend its print capacity and versatility.

The machine was installed at the firm’s Glasgow premises by SSDOS (Standing Stone Drawing Office Supplies) in September and replaced an HP LaserJet 2100.

The 1.37m wide seven channel machine offers speeds of up to 12sqm/hr at indoor quality. Its plotting feature also allows for intricate, precise cutting.

The machine’s suitability for vehicle, floor, and window graphics, as well as labels and stickers, clothing, signage, and posters and billboards made it a natural choice for, according to Tell Design, which wanted its output to be directed by customer demand.

It has so far been used for a broad range of jobs, from business cards and letterhead stationery to large-format posters and graphics for building sites.

Tell Design owner Thomas Kelly said: “We’re a general printer and work right across the whole range of printed graphics, so the versatility of the Latex 115 meets our needs as a business.

“We’ll be contacting our existing customers and telling them what the printer can do so they are aware of its potential for them, as well as reaching out to new customers.

“We can now become a one-stop-shop for businesses such as pubs, clubs, and restaurants, who will be able to source all their printed materials from us.”

Tell Design has been in operation since 2007.
