SOS and Vivid to host open day

Service Offset Supplies (SOS) and Vivid Laminating Technologies are joining forces to host an open day at the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon next month.

The theme of the day is ‘Blue sky thinking’, partly, according to SOS sales manager Ashley Fleming, in reference to the venue, but mostly because “we want to encourage customers to look at new ideas and potentially think outside the box”.

At the event, SOS will be showing a new 1.8m hybrid UV LED large-format printer from Chinese manufacturer Yotta.

Fleming added: “Like many modern machines from China, Yotta offers great value along with high quality. It will produce in either roll or sheet format, and offers great potential margins. Yotta are producing hybrid and flatbed machines accepting media widths of up to 3.2m.”

SOS will also be showing the Epson SureColor SC-S 80600 and the Roland DG TrueVis VG2, two of its best-selling eco-solvent roll-to-roll machines, alongside the new Roland DG LEF2-300 UV flatbed direct-to-substrate machine.

Colour management software from EFI and Alwan will also be show.

Vivid, meanwhile, will exhibit kit including the Matrix 370, for laminating and spot UV foiling, the EasyMount 1600SH wide-format laminator/mounter and the Omni Flow 370 deep-pile feeder.

The show will run from 12pm until 5pm on 5 November, and from 9am until 4pm on 6 November.
