Solopress marks milestone with 200th employee

Commercial printer Solopress has reached a growth milestone after taking on its 200th employee earlier this month.

Ellen Hodder started at the Southend-based firm on 8 June and is working in its LiveChat department, which enables customers to talk to a member of staff about their queries live on its website.

Chief executive and company founder Aron Priest said: “When Solopress started there was no goal. From many long days and sleepless nights the company has grown from strength to strength.”

Priest said he attributes the company’s success to his own drive and ambition combined with the forward thinking of his partner and co-founder Andy Smith.

“The 200th employee milestone is a tremendous feat and one that is quite difficult to think about when reflecting on the birth of the company all those years ago,” said Priest.

Solopress serves a wide range of clients from individuals through to major companies including the BBC, Sony Music, Sega, Google, Cath Kidston and the NHS.

The business has now completed in excess of 600,000 orders since it was established in 1999.
