The 2.6m-wide JV34-260, which is based on Mimaki's JV33 series machines, offers print resolutions of up to 540x1,440dpi and a top speed of 30sqm an hour.

The roll-to-roll printer’s dye-sublimation capability enables it to print on both rigid and flexible substrates, boosting the Braintree, Essex print firm’s portfolio of services.

The new Mimaki inkjet machine joins a raft of Agfa UV printers at the business, including a Jeti 1224 HDC, which arrived at the end of 2012, and an Anapurna M², capable of printing on substrates up to 3m wide.

Revolution Signs was also recently chosen by Agfa to feature in a promotional video, focusing on the relationship between printer and kit manufacturer.

Revolution managing director Ryan Fairweather said: "When we first went into the flatbed industry we had a very untested new piece of equipment. We had all sorts of problems.

"After that experience I decided to go into a partnership with a company that could support our growth.

"At the mid- to entry-level machines that we were looking for, Agfa had the best machines on the market so it was a fairly simple decision to choose them as a partner."

Established in 2002, Revolution Signs has produced integrated sign and graphics work for clients including Tesco, Honda UK, Nike and the BBC.

Fairweather added that Revolution planned further investments in machines "similar to the Jeti" in the future.
