QPS expands its range of Roland kit

Wide-format kit reseller Quality Print Services (QPS) has expanded its range of Roland kit and will add the new Roland Texart RT 640 dye-sublimation printer to its portfolio from April.

The circa £13,000 Roland RT 640 has a maximum print speed of 32.6 sqm/hr and is intended to be an entry-level machine suitable for sports equipment, fashion apparel and soft signage applications.

QPS director Chris Bailey said: “It’s really good on heat transfer and great for things like sportswear.”

The printer is being marketed at commercial printers looking to add fabric printing to their offerings and textile print houses looking to expand production.

Bailey said: “The printer is aimed both at those already established in the fabric market and those who are new to the market. The price means that people can afford to dip their toes in the industry.”

The printer will come with a choice of RIP software. Customers can choose between the Roland VersaWorks RIP or the ErgoSoft Roland Edition, which offers a range of textile-specific features.

The printer is the third Roland printer being sold by QPS, joining the Roland RF 640 and a Roland XF 640. It also sells Dgen wide-format printers. The Lancashire-based business supplies to customers across the UK.
