Pureprint continues expansion with new Leeds office

Pureprint has continued its rapid growth by expanding its network of regional offices with a new sales and customer service office in Leeds.

Led by Phil Jones, the former managing director of Duffield Printers, the business said that the new office will enable it to provide a more personal service to its growing number of clients in the north of England.

Jones, who has been in the print industry for 20 years and has a sales and management background, said: “After 18 years in my previous role at Duffield’s it needed to be something pretty special to persuade me to move, but Pureprint is special.

“I knew within 20 minutes of meeting Mark Handford for the first time that I wanted to become part of the Pureprint team. You’ve only got to look at their recent growth and future ambitions to see that Pureprint is a very progressive and exciting company to work for."

Pureprint chief executive Mark Handford, who recently discussed the company’s rapid growth in an in-depth interview with PrintWeek, added: “Personal service and face-to-face meetings have always been a key feature of our relationships with customers and with our customer base in the North increasing we are delighted to be opening an office in Leeds."

The group, which has a turnover of over £58m and employs 375 staff, serves clients in the corporate, retail, creative and fine art sectors. Earlier this year it acquired a majority shareholding in Newcastle upon Tyne-based Imprint Group.

The deal was financed with part of Pureprint's recently announced £5.3m investment from Business Growth Fund.
