Printing United Digital Experience: content available for more than three months

The Printing United Digital Experience goes live today, with the traditionally US-focused show hoping to attract a broader global audience through its new online platform.

Printing United had originally been scheduled to take place in Atlanta this month, but the Covid-19 pandemic put paid to those plans.

Instead, the show has been reinvented as a digital event taking place over three weeks, from 26 October to 12 November, with sessions available for replay for visitors from different time zones.

The replays will be available until the end of January 2021.

The keynote sessions span a wide variety of topics, beginning today with Tim Greene, research director at IDC, on ‘Wide-format growth markets for 2020 and beyond’.

Other sessions including ‘Building a manufacturing mindset, and ‘Sustainable strategies for navigating the new normal in the printing industry’.

The keynotes take place at 10:15am EST, which is 2.15pm UK time.

In addition, a host of educational sessions forms part of the programme, which also includes new product demo videos.

Exhibitors include Agfa, HP, Kodak, Heidelberg, Canon, Kornit, Konica Minolta, Rollem, Epson, Duplo, Muller Martini, Ricoh, Xeikon and Screen.

Amanda Kliegl, vice president of public relations at organiser the Printing United Alliance, commented: “We do definitely have a lot more reach this year internationally. A lot of our partners and attendees are interested because we have the education, we have the research, and all of the sessions are going to be available on-demand.

“It’s really going to be a nice comprehensive way for a lot of companies to have their entire team engaged.”
