Paterson Printing and BDL Print Group sales end without buyer

Attempts to sell Paterson Printing and its print management arm BDL Print Group have failed and both companies have now ceased trading.

The Tunbridge Wells-based businesses, which fell into administration during a two-week period in late May and early June, were handled by Jon Beard and Geoff Rhodes of Begbies Traynor's Brighton office.

Beard said that discussions were held with interested parties following the administrations, which deterred customers. This was blamed for the resulting loss of 60 jobs.

He added: "Unfortunately speculation about the companies’ futures contributed to the loss of several significant clients which, combined with a number of other factors, meant that it was not possible to secure a sale of the business of either company within the required timescale."

Beard said that as a result, "both have ceased trading".
