MX Display has renewed its contract with installation project management software supplier Vism following a successful year of enhanced services and looks now to make fresh hires.

Offering design, print and installation on displays across a variety of sectors, Derby-headquartered MX first joined up with Vism in early 2019 in order to find a project management software package that could be tailored to the company’s needs.

According to MX projects and installation coordinator Rebecca Caldicott, Vism’s mobile app interface serves as an “installers’ bible”, allowing it to run the entire installation with all documents, photos and signatures stored in one place. The ease of use inspired MX’s contract renewal this year.

“We have a team of in-house installers, as well as subcontractors all over the country, and everyone we work with is now signed up to Vism,” Caldicott said. “Version @ of the installer app, released at the end of 2019, received really good feedback, with our installers saying that it is quicker, clearer and they can now look at all their notifications in a list.

“I also like that it is easy for me to move jobs around and that I receive a notification when each job is done and all the photos are there with the signature, which makes it quicker and easier to get the relevant information over to our clients.

“It’s given us the ability to look at taking people on because we have a system in place now that allows us to manage a greater workload.”

MX Display’s usual monthly workload sees it undertake up to 150 installations per month, with more work going further afield including the US – made easier by the travel section of Vism which allows for storage of flight, travel and hotel information for team members.

A fledgling project, Vism was launched by founder Dan Tyler in 2018 and he has developed his platform based on the feedback of clients such as MX Displays. Caldicott commended Tyler and his team’s responsiveness to queries, with a usual response time of around 20 minutes.

MX Display supplies services including wall, window and floor graphics, fabric and portable displays and signage for a range of sectors out of two premises, its Derby production headquarters and a satellite office in London.
