Mimaki Europe is showcasing several machines it has launched during the coronavirus pandemic at Fespa this week.

The company (1-F45) is using the show, which is taking place at the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam until the end of today (15 October), to premiere live public demonstrations of machines including the JFX600-2513 high-volume UV flatbed printer, which was unveiled in April this year.

Speaking to Printweek at Fespa, Mimaki Europe general marketing manager Danna Drion said: “This is such an interesting machine because there was a demand based on the speed, the colours, and the glossy effect that we never had before on our machines at this high speed, from new markets.

“Packaging industries and the sign market were asking us for this for such a long time and now it’s here. The demand came out of the market, and we produced this solution. The first reactions from customers are really good.”

Unveiled by Mimaki last month, the UJF-7151 plusII and UJF-MkII e Series printers are also being demonstrated live on the company’s stand, as is the full-colour desktop 3D printer, the 3DUJ-2207.

Mimaki said Fespa visitors also finally have the chance to see its ‘100 Series’ printers, which were launched during the height of the pandemic, in action.

The company has also been giving visitors to the show the opportunity to visit its nearby Amsterdam Experience Centre and tour its entire 3D and textiles portfolio, with one-to-one demonstrations from Mimaki’s team.
