Kern releases its smallest self-mailer

Kern's desktop self-mailer, the Kern Office, launched at the beginning of this month and is the mailing solutions provider's smallest white paper solutions machine.

The one-piece mailer, which can undertake feeding, gluing, folding, perforating and cutting tasks for small to medium document production, produces 7,500 items per hour.

The fully-automated machine features three integrated folding settings on landscape and portrait modes, and eliminates the need for envelopes by using plain paper to print on.

Clive Martin, Kern UK strategic business manager, said: "Pre-printed paper can go out of date which can be a waste of resources for companies. The Kern Office allows you to process personalized, targeted messages and up-to-date addresses onto mail-ready pieces.

"It’s a compact way of mailing and, unlike any other of our mailers, it can just sit on your tabletop. It is a superb addition to the portfolio and puts the benefits of white paper mailing into the hands of smaller users."

According to Kern, it is suitable for direct mail and voucher printing. Kern hopes its latest design will appeal to its existing clients as well as bring in new clients.

The Office joins Kern’s existing self-mailer machines, the Easy Mailer and the Page Mailer, and has a list price of under £10,000.

Kern released its Page Mailer at the Cross Media trade show last September and launched its latest card affixing machine in November.
