Josero to sell Agfa Anapurna H1650i

Wide-format kit reseller Josero has added the new Agfa Anapurna H1650i LED printer to its kit portfolio.

Agfa launched the 1.6m-wide hybrid roll-to-roll machine in February as an “accessible and cost-effective” addition to its Anapurna LED-UV family. It can print on both rigid and flexible media and will cost “under £100,000”, according to Josero managing director Loic Delor.

He said: “The newest Anapurna from Agfa has got everything that the more expensive printers have – it is UV-LED, it has a chunky, industrial build and finish, a high-end roll-to-roll system and flatbed capabilities.

“In its price bracket, it can really do it all while all of its competition presents an either/or situation to its customers. It’s a lot of machine for the money.

“While we are one of two dealers selling the H1650i, we are the only one in the country that does full technical support. Three weeks ago, our engineers completed a full course in Agfa technology training.”

Josero now has an Anapurna H1650i on display at its Swavesey, Cambridgeshire showroom for demonstrations to its clients across the print and signmaking markets.

According to Josero, the machine's LED curing and thin ink layer technology mean a lower cost of ownership that would appeal to a lot of businesses.

The H1650i is driven by Agfa’s Asanti workflow software and runs at a production speed of 28sqm/hr and is equipped with a reinforced belt drive and shuttle beam, a gradient and multi-later functionality and 12pl printheads. Air-cooled LED-UV lamps allow for printing on thin and thermal sensitive substrates.

Josero, which celebrates its 15th anniversary in November, sells a full portfolio of Agfa machines, as well as Mimaki, Roland and Ricoh wide-format printers, a range of finishing equipment and used printers.
