Infigo teams with HP for pouch automation

Infigo Software has integrated its technology with HP Indigo for the fully automated web-to-pack setup that will be showcased at Labelexpo.

The web-to-pack workflow will be part of the ‘digital pouch factory’ that HP will be running live at the show.

British software developer Infigo has been integrated with HP’s PrintOS Site Flow automation tool for three years. For the Labelexpo project it has configured its Catfish web-to-print platform to meet the production criteria for the exhibit, which involves delivering a pouch and beer can sleeve for the demo setup.

The ordering process for the two products features customisation and personalisation, followed by a 3D preview of the finished product. The completed job is sent automatically to Site Flow, which then manages printing and converting on an HP Indigo 20000 and Karlville Pack Ready pouch making machine.

Infigo said web-to-pack was “revolutionising” the labels and packaging industry.

“We are really excited to deliver this demonstration and feel it will be the talk of Labelexpo 2019,” said managing director Douglas Gibson.

Labelexpo runs from 24-27 September at the Brussels Expo centre. HP is the biggest exhibitor at the show.
