ImageData orders new Stahlfolder for Willerby site

ImageData Group has ordered a Stahlfolder KH 78 from Heidelberg UK to upgrade the finishing capabilities of its Willerby site in East Yorkshire.

The folder will be installed in the first week of March and will replace an MBO K76 SKTL 6. The business opted for a combination folder due to the constrained space available.

The kit will join a Stahl buckle folder at the site, which runs Komori B1 presses, including an HUV machine.

“We have always been impressed with Stahl’s build quality and reliability and it was also the model our operators preferred,” said production director Pete Shaw.

Separately, the group’s wide-format division in Howden, East Yorkshire has installed a Panotec Next Mode 2.5 box maker to produce bespoke shipping packaging for its printed work.

“This investment will save circa-£150,000 per annum on skillets and other packaging,” said group commercial director Glen Patrick.

“It will allow us to increase our flexibility and control. We will no longer be reliant on subcontractors to manufacture and supply bespoke packaging.”
