Fujifilm joins Print Efficiently line-up

Fujifilm has been added to the line-up for the fifth Print Efficiently, which will take place in October.

The manufacturer will demonstrate its Acuity LED 1600 UV inkjet printer at the event.

Fujifilm Graphic Systems director Keith Dalton said: “Print Efficiently is now a well established and popular event which commercial printers look forward to attending, and we were delighted to take the opportunity to become part of it.

“We like the relaxed and co-operative ethos of the show, and we think we can bring something unique for its visitors.”

The Acuity LED 1600 UV has a maximum print width of 1,610mm and an output speed of up to 20sqm/hr. The press uses low-energy, long-life LEDs and has an eight-colour ink set comprising CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, white and clear.

“Commercial printers need to offer something extra to their customers, and wide-format opens a range of opportunities, especially in the sign market,” said Dalton.

“The Acuity LED 1600 UV can maximise this potential, partly due to the sheer range of substrates it can handle, both in roll form or on rigid media such as Perspex.”

The Fujifilm device will run alongside two Epson wide-format machines, the SureColor SC-S70600 and EC-T5200 machines, which are being shown by Colourbyte.

Event manager Jim Bower said: “We are delighted to have Fujifilm on board for Print Efficiently 2015 to enhance our wide-format offering.

“We aim to cover the full range of equipment required by modern commercial printers from pre-press through to print, with everything switched on and working – including digital, LED-UV litho and wide-format, through to finishing and mailing.”

Print Efficiently, which will take place from 6-8 and 20-22 October, will be held this year at Apex Digital Graphics’ new headquarters in Hemel Hempstead.

The new venue is adjacent to the second Print Efficiently key partner, Intelligent Finishing Systems, which relocated to the town last year. The show will take place across both firms' showrooms.

The Fujifilm announcement follows the recent addition of MIS supplier Imprint to the event line-up. The show’s other partners this year will include Vpress, KAS, Colourbyte, CyanX, Premier, TSS, Renz and PDC.

Seminars will run on 7 and 21 October. Organisers said further information will be released in the coming weeks.

The 2014 event was hailed the biggest yet with total sales of well over £1m reported. It covered most aspects of commercial print from web-to-print, MIS, colour measurement and consumables through to litho, digital and wide-format print and finishing.
