Epson to offer free SureColor signage printer training

Epson will hold free SureColor signage printer training at its dedicated training facility in Hemel Hempstead on 28 January and 25 February 2015.

The Epson SureColor Academy intensive one-day sessions, which have been created for SureColor SC-S series users, are worth £300 per person per day.

The hands-on sessions aim to help users to improve the print quality and production process using their SureColor SC-S series printers.

Some of the topics that will be covered during the days include manufacturer maintenance routines to reduce downtime and improve quality, using correct RIP and printer settings to improve productivity and reduce waste, and effective printer set-up and calibration for high-speed production.

Other featured topics will include printing on a range of different media to expand a business, improving colour consistency and ease of colour reproduction and keeping firmware up-to-date to take advantage of the latest developments.

Photobox technical production and supply chain director James Lawrence-Jones, who recently participated in one of the firm’s training sessions, said: “The hands-on sessions give you in-depth access to Epson’s technical expertise so you get the most out of your printer. Since attending, we have improved our material load speeds and first time success rates.

“We’ve also improved our understanding of cleaning and maintaining the printers, and therefore reduced the time spent on those tasks. Our operators have gained a better understanding and expertise in getting the very best results from the SureColor range.”
