Apex and IFS to hold third Real Print and Finish event

Apex Digital Graphics and Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS) are set to team up once again for the third Real Print and Finish open house.

The three-day event will take place from 10am to 5pm each day over 14-16 March at Apex’s premises in Hemel Hempstead.

Visitors will be able to see equipment including an SRA1 RMGT (Ryobi) four-colour press with live LED-UV drying during the event.

The event is also being used by Apex as an opportunity to show the Cron 26H CTP system in the UK for the first time. The firm said this machine is a highly productive and compact device that combines autoload, platesetter and bridge/punch functions.

Apex will also show the conventional Cron 36 UVP system and a machine from Konica Minolta’s Production Print range.

Apex managing director Bob Usher said: “We’ve done a March or October open house here every year since 2008 and it’s a repeat of that.

“This time of the year is absolutely perfect to run this kind of event and we’ve just had the new four-colour SRA1 press delivered into our showroom so this event gives us the opportunity to get it installed and show it off.

“In spite of everything going on politically there still seems to be an appetite for replacing kit so it’s a good time to keep the momentum going.”

IFS will exhibit a range of finishing equipment including the Horizon Stitchliner 5500 stitching line along with equipment for perfect binding, automatic folding, bookletmaking – including A4 landscape – and three-edge trimming. It will also show B2 and B3 Foliant laminators with foiling options.

IFS managing director Bryan Godwyn said: “There’s a busy event schedule this year but we’re confident our no-nonsense approach combined with a relaxed environment and some truly innovative kit will attract plenty of interest.”

Also confirmed to exhibit at the event are mailroom equipment suppliers KAS, punching and binding specialists Renz and Imprint MIS.

Additionally, CyanX and Graphic Arts Supplies will show pressroom products and consumables while the IPIA will offer free consultations with business experts via pre-booked appointments.
