Addressing & Mailing Solutions launches Impressia envelope printer

Mailroom equipment supplier Addressing & Mailing Solutions (AMS) has launched the AMS Impressia, a laser envelope printer capable of printing over 4,000 full-colour envelopes per hour.

The device, which is available from AMS with immediate effect for around £13,500, reaches resolutions of up to 2,400dpi for strong sharpness, clarity and colour.

The machine features an 80GB hard disk drive and has a warm-up time of less than a minute. The time to first colour print is eight seconds when warm.

A licence for iQueue 9 colour workflow software is also included with the device. This digital pre-press software includes advanced file management and colour editing tools while variable data and barcodes can also be produced.

Also included with the unit are a moveable machine cabinet, a high-speed feeder, exit conveyor and a high-powered laptop pre-installed with the iQueue software.

AMS managing director Kevin McPheat said: “We are delighted to be releasing the fully packaged Impressia envelope printer into the mailing market and increasing our wide range of envelope printers.

“Where cost and quality have historically been key issues for potential users, we can meet these demands with this new one-stop solution. It is also ideal for any printer looking to get started in the world of mailing.”
