Adare targets new contracted volumes following 'significant' kit upgrade

Adare managing director Barry Crich said that the completion of a seven-figure kit upgrade has delivered a 25% uptick in capacity and enabled the transactional printer to bring in new contracted volumes.

The Huddersfield-based transactional printer completed its kit upgrade with the installation of two six-station continuous-feed CMC 250 enclosing lines, to add to its seven existing four, six and eight-station CMC enclosers.

Adare's capital upgrade also included digital print equipment from Riso, Ricoh and Xerox. The CMC lines represent the final element - bar any incremental spend in 2015 - and were installed in April.

"CMC are our partner of choice for enclosing technology, offering the best value for money. The kit is flexible and adaptable and the after sales support is first class. CMC machinery's innovative approach to R&D ensures that Adare is able to remain at the forefront of enclosing technology," said Crich.

"Critical Mail remains at the very heart of Adare and it is very encouraging to know we have a first class business in CMC as one of our major strategic partners."

Crich added that there was not the same move to personalised, colour envelopes in the transactional sector as there has been in direct mail, where the likes of Capita and GI Solutions have invested in CMC JWR paper wrapping equipment.

Crich also said that transactional paper volumes were "holding up well" and that while there had been good progression in the move towards transpromo, there was still "a fair way to go".
