Bebo founder hails end of the printed dictionary

Bebo founder Michael Birch is hailing the end of the print dictionary with the launch of his latest business venture 'Wordia' - an online video dictionary.

Birch, who founded the social networking website, has teamed up with television producer Edward Baker in a bid to recreate the success of the online encyclopaedia Wikipedia.

The pair are expected to proclaim that "the much-loved print dictionary is being laid to rest," at the product's launch next week, according to Telegraph.co.uk.

Wordia will be launched at the former home of Dr Samuel Johnson, the author of what is seen as the first "modern" English dictionary, on 18 September.
