Guinness World Records ups print run to meet demand

Spanish printer Industria Grafica has increased its print run of the Guinness World Records 2009 following increased demand from retailers.

The lastest edition of the Guinness World Records has had an 11% extension on its previous print run and has increased its recommended retail price from £18 to £20 – its first rise in 11 years.

It comes with a pair of 3D glasses designed to view more than 20 3D photographs in the book and boasts an "urban design".

Paul Kenny, UK marketing director for Guinness World Records, said: "We would hope to sell out of the book, because being an annual product you want to hit the peak period."

The book was jointly launched in around 70 countries on 17 September and has been translated into 25 languages.
