Smart Graphics prints vehicle livery

Smart Graphics, the Glasgow-based vehicle graphics company, has printed a vehicle livery for Nottingham travel company Skills Holidays.

The concept, designed by Ray Stenning of design agency Best Impressions, will be used for holidays across Britain and Europe.

Paul Nicol, design and marketing co-ordinator at Skills Holidays, said an innovative technique was used on the light green colour.

He added: “It relies on a metallic glitter-finished vinyl that has an opacity of 50%. This is then printed, sealed and laminated.

“When the sun hits the feathers you get this very interesting effect, almost like two tone, and it comes to
life. Depending on the light, you get a varied colour spectrum of metallic greens, similar to Metal FX printing.”
