CDS wins MoD new magazine contract

Corporate Document Services (CDS) has won the contract to print Desider, a new magazine for the MoD's Defence Equipment and Support organisation (DE&S).

The Leeds-based company will produce the B4 full-colour 36pp magazine, 12 times a year. The title, published by Bath-based DE&S' Secretariat, combines two previous publications, Preview and DE&S News, which have both ceased publication as separate magazines.

Desider is available free to all who work in DE&S along with the armed forces, politicians, the defence industry, the diplomatic corps, local, national and international media, and foreign governments and their armed forces.

It will cover news of military equipment purchases, logistics support and the people in the armed forces who use the equipment.

A MoD DE&S spokesman said: "We're very pleased with the way the launch of our new magazine has gone. The quality of the magazine, produced for us by CDS which is responsible for the MoD print contract, is very good and deliveries were made to our staff on schedule."
