Prism Europe has become the first third-party MIS supplier to integrate its products into Heidelbergs Prinect integrated workflow.
Prism Win software will be shown as the MIS component of a JDF-enabled Prinect workflow by Heidelberg in the JDF Parc at Drupa. UK customers were pushing for the two firms to work together according to Heidelberg, which commences beta testing of the link at a UK firm after Drupa.
Heidelberg said the link-up showed that it "was really integrating with third-parties". It also confirmed it was working with another MIS vendor that it expects to reveal soon.
Prism Europe general manager David Dunbavand said the firm was also doing well with JDF inter-operability with other suppliers.
It has firms using JDF to link to Creo Upfront in the field and has successfully tested integration with Agfa, Creo and Heidelberg pre-press workflows, Heidelberg, KBA, Komori, MAN Roland and Mitsubishi presses as well as Muller Martini finishing kit.
