Pageflex teams up with EPMS to streamline workflow offering

Pageflex, a web-to-print division of US company Bitstream, has partnered with Massachusetts-based Enterprise Print Management Solutions (EPMS) to integrate its Storefront and Enterprise Print Management System technologies.

The combined systems offer customers streamlined workflow, including features such as automated day-to-day business transactions, and the simplification of online ordering, print production, finishing and product shipment, the company said.

Carol Anderson, EPMS's chairman, said: "Finding the right partners with whom to collaborate is vital to our business. This integration provides our clients with a tool to better reach their clients.

"The Pageflex application is the strongest we've found and it's been a spectacular partnership for us. The flexibility of this system is second to none. It's a total solution that allows us to offer a better product for our customers."

The first client to use the integrated technology is printing and engraving company Artcraft. The system has allowed its customers to place online orders via Storefront, which are then automatically transferred to Artcraft. The system then prints the jobs.

Artcraft president John Dumouchel said: "Pageflex EPMS together have reduced our overhead costs associated with processing jobs because the orders go directly from web to press.

"We've also been able to take on more work without hiring more staff – a tremendous benefit that offers a solid return to on our investment."
