Power Adhesives unveils adhesive for difficult-to-bond substrates

Adhesive manufacturer Power Adhesives has developed a new product that it says will help packaging and companies with difficult bonding techniques.

TecBond 265, a hot melt adhesive, can be used to bond smooth and shiny varnished stocks to other difficult substrates, which are notoriously difficult to bond.

The adhesive is a light brown synthetic polymer-based product, which can be used alongside materials such as polyester, polycarbonate, nylon, rigid PVC and varnished boards.

Power Adhesive's product is manufactured in Basildon, Essex, to ISO 9001 standards. It is applied using conventional industrial glue guns, including the TEC 3200 and TEC 6100 with outputs of up to 3kg per hour.

The adhesive has a high heat resistance of 80 Celsius and can withstand temperatures as low as -40 Celsius.
