Pro2col chosen as reseller for file transfer software ExpeDat

The software behaves like a traditional FTP with a few differences, including WAN transfer speeds up to seven times faster, tolerance for up to 50% packet loss and 20,000 milliseconds of latency, plus built-in bandwidth management capabilities.

The software costs from £3,995 and Pro2col will be offering a discount of 20% on the first five copies sold. Demos are available both online and on-site.

Lewis said: "Upon evaluating ExpeDat we were really excited, as we knew we'd identified the ideal solution for these companies that would really address the problems businesses were having with their existing FTP server set-ups.

The distribution deal brings a second new high-speed file transfer technology to the UK in as many months, after Turning Point Integration (TPI) signed a deal in April with Canada-based Unilimi-Tech Software for its file transfer tool, File Catalyst.
